Well guys, it's official, I am a soccer mom. Not only a soccer mom, but a mom of a child who plays sports. I really can't believe that we are in this phase. I am so excited, but also kind of sad that Ava has grown as much as she has.
Today Ava played in her first soccer game. Kindergarten soccer is quite entertaining to watch. They all just run around kicking the ball and hoping it makes it into the right goal. Ava did an awesome job. She's the only girls on the team (and the tallest), but she keeps up with the boys. She was a little timid at first but by the end of the game she was really getting in there.
It has been so fun watching her get ready for this time in her life. She's been doing her "workouts" at night to get "muscles." I asked her the other night if I could put bows in her hair for the game, and she said, "Mom, I'm more of a sports girl not a fashion girl." *Insert crying emoji here* Just Kidding! I'm proud that she knows what she wants and is willing to try things that are new and different.
I'm proud of my little human.
