Christmas 2015

I can't believe Christmas is over and we're on to a New Year. I love Christmas, especially since I have Ava and Peter. They make this time of year so much more fun and exciting. This year we were suppose to stay home and just enjoy a quiet Christmas, but at the last minute we decided to drive down to St. George and surprise my parents. They weren't expecting it and it was so fun seeing their faces when we walked in the door. I love the special relationship they have with my children, especially with Ava. I know it made their Christmas to see them, and Ava was ecstatic to see her Nana and Papa, and be in St. George. Christmas day was so fun, we opened gifts, ate WAY too much at the luncheon, and got to spend some quality time with family. A perfect Christmas. I hope you all had a great Christmas as well. See you in the New Year!

First day of Winter

We celebrated the first day of Winter with a little cookie decorating party. Fiti, her girls and Loni Anne were over to help us decorate cookies. I'm so sad I didn't snap any pics of the girls decorating their cookies or any of the finished product because they were definitely festive and loaded with tons of sugar. It was a fun and festive little playdate and a great way to kick off Christmas week. I can't believe that Christmas is on Friday!! I still have a few more things I need to pick up, and next year all my shopping is being done ONLINE! Hope you all have a great Merry Christmas.

Temple Square 2015

One thing I love about Utah is that we are so close to the Temples. The Salt Lake Temple holds a special place in my heart and is magical any time of year, but during Christmas it's just breathtaking. I took the kids and Mina this weekend to walk around and look at the lights, and Ava was seriously bouncing off the walls with excitement. Little Peter was in awe over the lights and loves to people watch so he stayed up for most of the outing. I don't ever remember it being so crowded and it was kind of overwhelming, but I'm glad we did it and that I had my little helper with me. (Fanks Mina!) I love these traditions and look forward to making more with my favorite little people. Happy Holidays!
