3 weeks, a Wedding, and Lagoon

This weekend was a fun filled one with lots of activities.
First off, my little man hit his 3 week mark on Friday. I really can't believe he's already 3 weeks. Here are some things we know about little Peter.

~ He has his night and days mixed up.
~ He eats A LOT!
~ We started feeding him cereal at two weeks and he loves it.
~ He loves baths

We welcomed fall with a little photoshoot

He obviously loves shopping and taking selfies with mom ;)

Peter's little sister, Hala, tied the knot this weekend. We are so excited for her, Lesa, and Marie and the new adventure they are embarking on.

The beautiful bride and miss Marie.

After the wedding and luncheon, my little family headed over to my company day at Lagoon. We have been wanting to take Ava there all summer and we were excited we were finally able to get over there. I haven't been to Lagoon since before Ava was born. Ava even conquered a few rides with the help of her bestie Taina, and some "encouraging" words. I got to catch up with some of my co-workers from St. George, and they got to meet Baby Peter. A big Thank You to Title Guarantee for the fun filled day!

She was excited and he was the perfect baby at the park.

In action..

Tai Tai won a JUMBO prize and was nice enough to let Ava take it home.

Big Peter, Little Peter

Me + you, Just us two.. on the most annoying ride.

I have the best little cousins and Taina is no exception. She's always down to help me with Ava and entertain her. We love Tai Tai!

We are exhausted from the weekend, but it was definitely one to remember. Until next time.. xox

September 4th, 2015 our little family of three became a family of FOUR! Peter Su'a Talivakaola was born at 9:19 pm, weighing in at 7 pounds 10 ounces and was 21.5 inches long. His birth story followed in similar footsteps as his big sisters.

I was scheduled to get induced on September 5th, but was on "standby" for the 4th. I don't like to wait so scheduling an induction is a must for me, at least I can semi make a plan. Labor and Delivery called me on the 3rd to give me instructions on what needed to happen when I came in, so I had high hopes that I would get in on the 4th. They told me to be ready by 5 am just in case I could come in early. They didn't call me til 11:30 am and asked that I be in the hospital at 12:30, I was so excited and exhausted because I had been up all night trying to get everything ready. Peter had to be at work that morning, and he wasn't expecting me to go in til the next day, so I had my mom, who came into town to help, picked me up and we headed to the hospital.

I scarfed down some Chick-fil-A before we got to the hospital, because once you're checked in you're not allowed to eat until after the delivery. We all know how ugly I can get when I'm hungry. I got to the hospital, checked in, got to my room and just hung out. I was alone for at least an hour or two, but it was great to just sit and hang out in silence and ponder on what was about to happen. They started my IV (which was probably more painful than actual delivery) and got me on pitocin. There was A LOT of waiting around, and I was progressing SLOWLY.. well slower than I did with Ava. That's the only thing I had to compare it too. Of course I got an epidural at the first signs of pain, because really why wouldn't you? I have major respect for those mama's who choose the natural route. This time around the epidural just numbed my pelvic area and I could still feel all the contractions, which sucked big time. Anyways.. after being patient some more, I was finally able to push. I pushed a total of 4 times and my precious little boy was out. He didn't cry at first, he was so calm and just let the nurses wipe him down. He finally made the sweetest little cry and I could help but cry and feel so grateful for a healthy baby boy.

I can't believe Baby Peter is finally here, and I'm grateful he's strong and healthy. He's brought an amazing spirit to our family and I can't imagine our life without him. He already loves to cuddle and loves to hangout with his big sissy.

Thank you to all those who sent well wishes!

Baby Shower Surprise

Ava and I taking a few selfies before heading out the door, oblivious to anything that's going on.

The cutest little shower favors.

If you can see the look on my face, I was truly surprised. I was trying really hard not to burst into tears.. blame the hormones.

Love all of these people! Perfect sized baby shower for me.

Yesterday was completely unexpected, like really! I must be the most gullible person in the world or  just too tired to think about anything because I really didn't see it coming. Peter and his cute cousins, Loni Anne Coil and Fatai Olive, threw the cutest little baby shower for me and baby boy. Here's how it all went down..

Last week Peter sent me a text while he was at work asking me if I wanted to go to dinner with him as one last outing before the baby came, and of course I said yes. Any excuse to hang with my cute hubby. Anyways.. the day that we had decided to go finally came and he told me, "oh well, lets just go to cheesecake factory and take Ava with us, because Hala has plans." Of course, I suggested that we ask my aunt or grandma but he was pretty persistent on taking Ava with us and not bothering them. Usually, I would have just text them anyways to see if they could watch her but for some reason that day I didn't even think twice about it. He told me to get ready and meet him at City Creek at 5:30.

Ava and I got down to City Creek and Peter told us that we had to wait because he made reservations at 6:00. That was my first hint that something was up, because I told him that Cheesecake Factory doesn't take reservations. In my mind I was just like, oh maybe he's going to take us to a more expensive restaurant.. haha! 6:00 came around and I was like, ok lets go.. this pregnant lady is hungry. He kept making us wait, and he kept texting and giggling like a little girl. At this point I was just getting annoyed because I was hungry. Finally, he told us we can walk over to Cheesecake. As we walked over he kept saying, I hope you have fun tonight.. I told him, "I always have fun with you and Ava." Haha! We walked in and down the stairs and all I hear is... "Surprise!" At the bottom of the stairs I see a table full of loved ones. I was so shocked and tried really hard not to just burst into tears.

It was a great night and I felt so blessed to have great friends and family in my life. It was the perfect shower for me. I can't thank everyone enough for coming together and making it such a memorable night. Only thing missing was my Mom and Sisters, but I know they would have loved to have been there if they could. We can't wait for baby boy to get here and have everyone meet him. 2 days and counting!
